Tchaikovsky: Iolanta
The RCAS presents P.I. Tchaikovsky's Iolanta. This abridged concert version of the opera includes the highlights of the work accompanied by a storyteller and piano.
"Iolanta" is the last opera composed by Tchaikovsky. It is a moving fairy tale based on Danish writer Henrik Hertz’s lyrical drama about the blind daughter of King Rene Iolanta.
Tchaikovsky's music for "Iolanta" is considered one of the greatest in the operatic canon.
